In the 1937 World Series Carl Hubbell struck out slugger Lou Gehrig on what can only be described as a controversial call. The friendly duo posed for this picture the next day to show that while on good terms, the controversy lingered on. Gehrig, holding his bat, still insisted the ball was low while Hubbell is illustrating where the ball crossed Gehrig just above the knees. Issued by the Christy Walsh syndicate and stamped on the back, the photo displays beautifully and also has a full paper caption on the back as well. A cool photo that tells a story like few others can!
