Babe Ruth started life as a pitcher, and made his name as a slugging outfielder. A little known fact about the great "Bambino" however is that he also played a little first base. A total of thirty games in fact with this photo from 1931 being the only time he played this position the entire season! A rare image showing Ruth at first, with this being quite possibly the only one known! Issued by Acme and stamped on the back, the condition is really nice.
