Lot Description  

Mickey Mantle's 1956 season is one of the greatest in baseball history. One of only a handful of post-war triple crown winners, he also led the league in runs scored, OPS, Slugging, Total Bases and more. In this important image he poses with his silver slugger award alongside the winner from the previous season (1955) Al Kaline. Taken by Bob Olen and stamped on the back, this is a large, nearly perfect specimen that we have never seen before!
