Roger Maris certainly had opportunities come his way after his monster 1961 season that were not common for your average ballplayer. Here for example he finds himself in some pretty exclusive company as he mingles with new President of the United States John F. Kennedy as the two were working together to fight MS. Kennedy is signing a baseball and then handing it to Maris to do the same and the ball was being used as a trophy in the fight against the disease. A rare image of the popular President with one of the top players of the era, with this specimen displaying exceptional clarity and contrast. This is the only vintage example of this photograph we have ever seen!
