One of the most iconic moments in sports and Olympic history was the famous black power salute at the 1968 Mexico Olympics. Finding a single pair of black gloves (which is why each athlete has a different hand raised) the two black medalists from the United States raise their hands and bow their heads away from the flag in protest to racial tensions in America and give a salute to their race. While multiple angles of this photo exist, this is our favorite as it also catches the faces of the older white men below who seem to represent (right or wrong) the differences in the country and how things were changing. Condition is outstanding!
