1986 Elektra records studio photo of the rock band Metallica from early in their career and from their first photo session after the their bass player Cliff Burton was tragically killed while on tour in a bus accident. Rare image from before the band reached a mainstream audience and the first we have ever seen from the first posed session with Jason Newsted. Condition and quality are both outstanding and this is identified on the front as being the photographic work of Mark Weiss.
