1938 Photograph of the defending Indianapolis 500 champion Wilbur Shaw as he sits behind the wheel of his car and hopes for a repeat. A fantastic image in beautiful condition issued by the International News and with a full paper caption on the back as well. Shaw would finish second, but would win the next two in a row making him the greatest driver in Indy history!
