Incredible large 1939 photograph of Louis Zamperini from USC and showing his incredible form. Relatively unknown in 1936, Zamperini burst onto the National Stage when he stunned everyone with a record setting performance in front of Adolf Hitler at the 1936 Olympics. Soon after this photo was taken, Zamperini would be shot down over the Pacific during WW2 and forced to endure amazing hardships, the subject of a Best Selling Novel and major motion picture, this is among the best Zamperini photos in the World! Issued by the Central Press, and stamped on the back, there is a good chance this is the only example of this photo that exists! Photo has some wear to the upper left corner and some pinholes at the top but it is otherwise a beauty!
