Large and detailed action photo of 1952 New York Rangers hockey player Jim Ross in full uniform. While it is apparent from a quick glance that this image was taken by a skilled photographer, it is not until the credit on the back it is seen how skilled he was! This is one of the earliest images of any subject we have ever seen taken by rock star photographer William Jacobellis! A clear and bold masterpiece of the early NHL, this is a fine example with a little chipping on the bottom border being the only flaw.
