Beautiful 1934 head-shot of the greatest golfer of his era Gene Sarazen who filled the shoes vacated by Bobby Jones after 1930 and became a true superstar of the game. Here he was all smiles as he could almost taste his victory at the US Open. He had an eight stroke lead on Olin Dutra after 36 holes but ended up finishing a single stroke behind for another second place finish. A spectacular image in beautiful condition issued by Acme and with a full paper caption on the back as well. One of his best for sure!
