Lot Description  

1947 Larry Doby photograph with the Newark Eagles of the Negro League. A beautiful and rare original with the story that he was signed to play with the Cleveland Indians but this image SHOWS Doby in Negro League uniform and is one of the only ones of its kind we have ever seen offered. Condition is quite nice. One of the rarest images of Doby and most significant we have ever seen!
