Original 1931 photograph of Hall of Famer Connie Mack as he meets with his captain Mickey Cochrane before the start of the third game of the World Series to plan their attack against the Cardinals. The A's had won two straight and seemed destined for another against the upstart Cardinals, but it would not be as the Red Birds would not only beat the A's but signal the end of their decades of dominance. A fine image of the master (Mack) meeting with his pupil at the ballpark in a very intimate setting. Issued by Acme and stamped on the back with a full paper caption as well.
