Large 1948 photograph of four members of the Memphis Red Sox Negro League baseball team as they inspect a bat with a couple of other executives. The highlight of the image is the inclusion of rare Hall of Famer Willie Wells (holding the bat in uniform) and this is one of the only images of Wells we have ever seen in any form. A fantastic piece of baseball history that is being offered here for the first time ever.
